"What a move to Shopify Plus costs in 2026 from Magento and Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce and WooCommerce, and how long each one takes. Published project ranges from 12 guides read on 11 October 2026, the Plus plan price from Shopify, timelines by platform, the five things that move a quote and a first-year budget with the arithmetic shown."

Key Takeaways

  • 1A Shopify Plus migration runs from $15,000 to $40,000 for a mid-market WooCommerce store to $200,000 to $500,000 or more for enterprise Salesforce Commerce Cloud, on the Elogic Commerce index (updated 3 September 2026).
  • 2Magento and Adobe Commerce have the widest spread: $25,000 for a simple store to $600,000 or more for a full custom headless rebuild, inside one source.
  • 3Shopify lists the Plus plan at $2,300 a month on a three-year term and $2,500 on a one-year term. That is $27,600 or $30,000 a year, on top of the project.
  • 4Shopify says Plus migrations average three to four months. Published timelines by platform run from 4 weeks (a simple Magento store) to 14 months (Adobe Commerce, complex).
  • 5The number of integrations moves the price more than catalog size, according to Flux and Tripster Developers. Presta and Flux both put one ERP connection at $20,000 to $80,000 to build.
  • 6Across 12 guides read on 11 October 2026, the lowest starting figure was $5,000 and the highest top figure was $600,000 or more. Three guides still print an old Shopify limit of 100 variants per product, and Shopify now says 2,048.
  • 7These are market ranges from named sources, not FactoryJet prices. FactoryJet quotes a fixed price in writing after a short scoping call.

The short answer

A migration to Shopify Plus costs about $15,000 to $40,000 from a mid-market WooCommerce store and $200,000 to $500,000 or more from an enterprise Salesforce Commerce Cloud store, on the Elogic Commerce cost index (updated 3 September 2026). Shopify says Plus migrations average three to four months. The Plus plan itself is $2,300 or $2,500 a month.

These are market ranges, not our prices. Every dollar figure on this page comes from a named agency, index or Shopify page that we opened and read on 11 October 2026. Each one is linked where it first appears and again in the sources list at the end. The worked examples are our own arithmetic on those figures. Most of the private sources sell migration work themselves, which is normal for this market and is why every range carries its source. We sell this work too, so FactoryJet prices are left off the page on purpose.

We opened 12 published guides that put a price on a Shopify Plus migration. The lowest starting figure was $5,000. The highest top figure was $600,000 or more. Both are fair numbers for different jobs. One is a small store moved onto a bought theme. The other is an Adobe Commerce business rebuilt with a fully custom storefront.

This guide puts those ranges side by side for four platforms: Magento and Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce and WooCommerce. It also gives what Shopify charges for Plus, how long each move takes and what pushes a quote up or down. The step-by-step work for each move is on our replatforming pages, and each section below links to the right one.

Five terms come up throughout. Replatforming means moving a store and the systems behind it from one commerce platform to another. A SKU is one sellable item in your catalog. An ERP is the back-office system that holds stock, orders and accounts. B2B means selling to other businesses, usually at prices set for each account. Mid-market means a mid-sized store, which the Elogic index defines for WooCommerce as $1 million to $10 million in yearly revenue.

The table below is the one to screenshot. Each row is a published range for the migration project, and the last row is the plan price from Shopify. Where two sources price the same move, both are shown.

Two readings. The platform you leave sets the starting point. On the Elogic figures, an enterprise Salesforce Commerce Cloud move starts at five times the top of a mid-market WooCommerce one ($200,000 against $40,000). And the sources agree far better on the simpler moves. They sit within $10,000 of each other on BigCommerce and more than $100,000 apart on Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

Three different jobs are sold as a Shopify Plus migration

Shopify draws the first line itself. In its guide to choosing a migration service, it says a data migration and a full replatform are different things. The first moves products, customers, orders and content. The second adds the storefront build, the integrations and often a redesign. A third job, the plan upgrade, moves nothing at all.

JobWhat it coversPublished costPublished time
Plan upgrade from a standard Shopify planYour store stays where it is. Full replatform to Plus from another platformData, a new storefront, rebuilt integrations, redirects, testing and launch.$30,000 to $150,000 or more (ShopExperts and Presta print the same band); up to $600,000 or more for a custom headless rebuild (Elogic)Usually 3 to 6 months (Shopify)

The free Store Migration app that Shopify publishes sits in the second row. Its listing names WooCommerce, Square, Etsy, Wix, Amazon, eBay, Clover and Lightspeed as sources. Magento, BigCommerce and Salesforce Commerce Cloud are not on that list, so those moves need a paid tool, a Shopify Partner or custom work with the Shopify API, the other routes in the Shopify Help Center.

Shopify also says, in an article updated 23 September 2026, that an upgrade gives you access to Plus features and does not configure them. That is why the first row has a price at all. The rest of this guide is about the third row.

Shopify Plus migration cost by the platform you are leaving

Three of the guides price a move to Plus by source platform. They are shown as their authors print them. Flux writes for brands with $5 million to $100 million in sales, so read its column as the larger-store view.

Read across a row before you read down a column. On BigCommerce, Elogic and ShopExperts sit within $10,000 of each other at the bottom and agree at the top. On Salesforce Commerce Cloud, the ShopExperts range ends where the Elogic range begins, at $200,000. The Flux floor for WooCommerce, $80,000, is twice the Elogic ceiling of $40,000, because the two describe stores of different size.

Magento and Adobe Commerce to Shopify Plus

This move has the widest published spread of the four. On the Elogic index alone it runs from $25,000 for a simple store to $600,000 or more for a full custom headless rebuild, a 24-fold gap inside one source. (Headless means the storefront is built as a separate application that talks to Shopify behind the scenes.) Soda Web Media says a professional Magento move starts around $25,000 and can pass $100,000 once custom ERP work is involved.

Timing often comes with a deadline. The Adobe lifecycle page, updated 18 September 2026, shows that standard support for Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 ended on 11 August 2026 and ends for 2.4.7 on 31 May 2027. Our Magento to Shopify Plus migration page compares more published cost guides, lists the cost drivers one by one and covers the product, B2B and redirect limits, so that detail is not repeated here. A step-by-step version is in our Magento to Shopify Plus migration checklist.

Salesforce Commerce Cloud to Shopify Plus

The three sources that price this move put it at or near the top of their tables. Elogic gives $200,000 to $500,000 or more over 20 to 28 weeks for an enterprise store with SAP or Oracle and a custom checkout. Flux gives $180,000 to $500,000. ShopExperts gives $80,000 to $200,000 or more, the highest starting figure on its list. LitExtension gives it the highest complexity rating in its platform table, a step above its rating for Magento.

The reason sits behind the storefront. Tripster Developers says the storefront is usually the easy part, and the work is untangling the order, product-data and pricing systems that lived inside the old platform. One case published by Shopify shows the fast end. Agency SLTWTR moved five brands and 12 stores off Salesforce Commerce Cloud in 12 weeks, a schedule the agency itself described as aggressive. Our Salesforce Commerce Cloud to Shopify Plus page covers how that move is planned.

BigCommerce to Shopify Plus

The sources agree most closely here. Elogic gives $30,000 to $60,000 over 12 to 18 weeks for a mid-market store with B2B and an ERP, and ShopExperts gives $20,000 to $60,000 for BigCommerce Enterprise. ShopExperts calls BigCommerce the cleanest platform to leave, because the data is structured, the URL patterns are simpler than Magento and fewer apps need rebuilding. Tripster Developers adds that product data maps well, while custom fields, option sets and price lists need planning. Our BigCommerce to Shopify Plus page has the process.

WooCommerce to Shopify Plus

Elogic gives $15,000 to $40,000 over 6 to 12 weeks for a store with $1 million to $10 million in yearly revenue. Soda Web Media gives $5,000 to $30,000 for WooCommerce to any Shopify plan. The work is in the plugins. ShopExperts says a typical WooCommerce store runs 30 to 50 of them, and each one has to be matched to a Shopify feature or app. Tripster Developers points to the redirect map, because WordPress addresses rarely match the fixed product and collection paths Shopify uses.

One sum is worth doing before you ask for quotes. A year of the Plus plan is $27,600 on a three-year term, which is more than the $15,000 low end of the project. On a small WooCommerce move the plan is the bigger line in year one, so confirm you need a Plus feature first. Our WooCommerce to Shopify page covers the move itself.

A grey-haired man in a light blue shirt lifts a plain cardboard box onto a white shelf above an orange storage bin in a stockroom.
Moving the data is the short part. Shopify counts it in weeks, inside a project that usually runs three to six months.

What Shopify charges for Plus, from Shopify's own pages

The plan price is the one number in this guide that comes from the seller of the product. Shopify prints it in US dollars in its Help Center and repeats it in its upgrade guide, updated 23 September 2026. Prices can change, and Shopify points readers to its Plus pricing page for the latest figures.

Twelve months at those prices is $27,600 on the three-year term and $30,000 on the one-year term. A full three-year term comes to $82,800. The Help Center adds that custom development by Shopify Plus Partners, one-time theme purchases and third-party apps cost extra.

The variable fee is where published guides part ways with Shopify. Shopify says only that larger or more complex businesses may pay a fee based on revenue and business model, and that it differs for B2B and direct-to-consumer sales. ShopExperts prints a rate of 0.4 percent of revenue. Flux prints 0.35 percent on direct-to-consumer sales and 0.18 percent on B2B sales. Both give a cap of about $40,000 a month, and so does Elogic. We found no rate and no cap on any Shopify page we read on 11 October 2026, so none of those figures is in our tables. The upgrade guide tells buyers to send the Shopify sales team their revenue, payment setup and sales model, and says the quote sets the plan fee and payment rates.

Shopify prints no price range for a migration project in any of the three Shopify migration guides we read. It does make one comparative claim, in its replatforming guide of March 2026. In a study it ran with a consulting firm it does not name, brands moving to Shopify budgeted implementation costs 23 percent lower on average than on competing platforms. Treat that as the figure a vendor gives about itself.

A first-year budget: project plus plan

Add the two published numbers and you get a floor for year one. This is arithmetic on public figures. We added the Elogic project range to 12 months of the Plus plan at $27,600 to $30,000. It is not a quote.

MoveProject range (Elogic)Plus plan, 12 months (Shopify)First year, project plus plan
WooCommerce, mid-market$15,000 to $40,000$27,600 to $30,000$42,600 to $70,000
BigCommerce, mid-market with B2B and an ERP$30,000 to $60,000$27,600 to $30,000$57,600 to $90,000
Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce, mid-market$50,000 to $120,000$27,600 to $30,000$77,600 to $150,000
Salesforce Commerce Cloud, enterprise$200,000 to $500,000 or more$27,600 to $30,000$227,600 to $530,000 or more

The plan is 43 to 65 percent of the first-year total on the WooCommerce row and 6 to 12 percent on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud row. So on a small move the plan decision matters most, and on a large one the project scope does.

What this table leaves out: apps, card fees, any variable platform fee and your own team's time. None of those has a published figure that fits every store. For the plan in more depth, see our guide to the true cost of Shopify Plus.

How long does a Shopify Plus migration take?

Three to four months from kickoff to go-live is the average Shopify gives for Plus migrations in its migration service guide of May 2026. The same guide says a full replatform usually takes three to six months, and that moving the data is a matter of weeks inside that. The Shopify replatforming guide gives 8 to 12 weeks for smaller stores and six months or more for complex ones.

Salesforce Commerce CloudNo fast figure; 20 to 24 weeks; 24 to 36 weeks16 to 30 weeks16 to 24 weeks with B2B, an ERP and several stores

Elogic prints two sets of times. Its cost table gives one range per move, which is what the summary table at the top of this page uses, and its timeline table splits each move into fast, typical and complex. The ShopExperts figures for WooCommerce and BigCommerce are for a move to any Shopify plan. It says a Plus destination adds one to two weeks, B2B catalogs add three to six, and each expansion store adds two to four. For Magento, ECommerce Partners (page updated 8 October 2026) gives 12 to 20 weeks for a standard store under 10,000 SKUs, 20 to 30 weeks with B2B and an ERP, and 30 to 36 weeks at enterprise scale.

Real projects on Shopify's own pages show how far the range stretches. Anker moved 16 sites to Plus in three months. TASCHEN launched a headless build with a product-data system in five months. Staples finished an enterprise replatform in under 12 months.

The weeks a project plan leaves out

Published timelines count from kickoff to launch. ShopExperts says to add two to six weeks at the front for choosing a partner and signing a contract, and four weeks at the back for monitoring after launch. On its numbers a six-week migration is a 10 to 12 week commitment end to end. Tripster Developers adds a calendar rule, which is to launch at least six weeks before your busiest selling period.

Shopify names the biggest risk to a schedule, and it comes before any data moves. Discovery and data cleanup put a launch date at risk more than the transfer does. Its advice is to start the data audit early and fix quality problems before the first import runs.

A woman in an olive shirt presses an orange sticky note onto a white wall beside a grid of grey sticky notes while a white-haired man in a white shirt watches with folded arms.
Plan the weeks before kickoff and after launch too. ShopExperts counts six to ten of them outside the project itself.

What moves a Shopify Plus migration price up or down

Five things, in the order the guides weight them. A dollar or week figure appears only where a source prints one.

  1. Integrations. Every system that reads from or writes to your store has to be reconnected and tested: ERP, warehouse, product data, email and tax. Flux says the number of integrations moves cost more than catalog size, and Tripster Developers makes the same point. Presta and Flux both put one ERP connection (SAP, NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics) at $20,000 to $80,000 to build. LitExtension notes that five standard apps can be less work than one custom ERP link.
  2. Custom features. Code written for your old platform does not move. Shopify says custom logic has to be recreated with Shopify apps, custom apps or Shopify Functions, which are small pieces of code that change how discounts, shipping or payments behave. LitExtension calls this one of the biggest cost factors. ShopExperts puts each custom Function at two to eight weeks.
  3. B2B. Shopify includes B2B tools on every plan, with a ceiling. The B2B plan table allows three active catalogs below Plus and an unlimited number on Plus, and keeps direct company catalogs, deposits and partial payments for Plus. ShopExperts says setting up B2B catalogs adds three to six weeks to a standard migration. Our Shopify Plus B2B page covers what the build involves.
  4. Catalog size and shape. Shopify flags a catalog above 10,000 SKUs, or one with complex variants, as a sign of a complex migration. Shape matters more than count. Shopify allows 2,048 variants and three options per product, so a product with four or more options needs restructuring or an app. Presta says 10,000 clean products are easier to move than 500 messy ones.
  5. Data cleanup. Duplicate customers, empty attributes and old content all have to be fixed before the import. ShopExperts says messy source data adds one to three weeks. Elogic puts cleanup at two to four extra weeks and $10,000 to $30,000. Presta advises fixing data at the source and running the migration twice, once as a rehearsal.

Shopify turns the same ideas into a test. Its guide lists ten signs of a complex migration. Among them are a catalog over 10,000 SKUs, more than one storefront, live ERP connections, more than 100,000 past orders that must stay readable, and search traffic that depends on a redirect map. If three or more apply, Shopify says a dedicated migration service will probably lower both the risk and the total project cost.

A woman with a blonde bob in a rust shirt sorts blank white cards into neat stacks at a desk beside an orange tray.
Presta calls data preparation the phase most often left out of a quote. Shopify names it the biggest risk to a launch date.

How to get migration quotes you can compare

Seven steps, each taken from a page we read. Do them before the first sales call.

  1. Name the job. Upgrade, data move or full replatform. Quotes for different jobs cannot be compared.
  2. List every connected system. Write down each tool that reads from or writes to the store, and who owns it. Flux gives the example of a list of 8 integrations that becomes 14 once someone looks.
  3. Count your data. SKUs, options per product, customers, past orders and indexed URLs. LitExtension recommends documenting these, plus any custom logic, before you ask for prices.
  4. Buy discovery as its own step. Flux prices a discovery audit at $5,000 to $25,000 over one to three weeks, and Elogic at $15,000 to $50,000 over the first four weeks. Flux calls a fee that is credited against the build a fair model. The audit should end with a written scope and a build price.
  5. Ask for the price in parts. Data, storefront, integrations, redirects and launch as separate lines, as LitExtension suggests. You can then see which line a lower quote left out.
  6. Get the Plus quote from Shopify separately. Shopify sets the plan fee and payment rates from your revenue, payment setup and sales model. Confirm the term and the billing currency.
  7. Ask what is excluded. Presta lists the usual gaps: order history, blog content and custom fields on small projects, and custom apps and ERP connections on mid-market ones.

Fixed bid, time and materials, or phased

Shopify describes three ways a migration is priced. The last column adds what Presta and ShopExperts say.

Pricing modelHow it worksFits whenWatch for
Fixed bidOne price for a written scopeRequirements are clear and unlikely to changeWork outside the scope is not covered. Presta warns that items you assumed were included can come back as change orders.
Time and materialsYou pay hourly or daily rates for the work doneYou need flexibility because the scope may still changeThe bill has no ceiling unless you set one. Presta suggests a cap the bill cannot pass and a weekly budget report.
PhasedEach stage is priced and signed off on its own: discovery, migration, testing, launchEnterprise projects. Shopify says this is usually the best choice for them, and ShopExperts says the same above $50,000.Each phase should end with something you can check.

What we found reading 12 cost guides in one day

We read all 12 on 11 October 2026 and compared them line by line. That day Google showed an AI summary on all 11 searches we ran on this topic, and six of the 12 guides were among the sources it cited. So what these pages say is what many buyers are told. Six things stood out.

  • The spread is 120 to 1. The lowest starting figure for a Shopify Plus migration was $5,000 (Xpertshire and ForgeCRO). The highest top figure was $600,000 or more (Elogic).
  • The same bands repeat. Three guides print $50 to $500 for a migration tool. Three print $15,000 to $75,000 for a mid-size project: Soda Web Media, Aqsa Shahzad and ForgeCRO. Two print $30,000 to $150,000 or more for a Plus migration. Matching numbers on separate sites are weaker evidence than they look, because a reader cannot tell who measured and who repeated.
  • Two guides say what their ranges rest on. Elogic cites more than 500 of its own projects and names 12 agency benchmarks. Solo Media Group cites more than 75 replatforms. The other ten give ranges without saying how many projects sit behind them.
  • Three firms post their own prices. Tripster Developers lists Plus replatforming from Magento, Salesforce or a custom platform from $15,000. Solo Media Group lists full replatforms from $20,000. Presta lists enterprise Shopify Plus work from 25,000 euros. A posted price is stronger evidence than a market range, because it is the number that firm will quote from.
  • Three guides carry an old platform limit. They give 100 variants per product. The Shopify Help Center says 2,048. Ask which limit an estimate was built on, because the old one can add catalog restructuring you no longer need.
  • Shopify prices the plan and leaves the project to partners. On the pages we read it prints the plan fee, the card rates and timeline averages. It prints no project price range.

How FactoryJet prices a Shopify Plus migration

We do not publish a price list, and nothing above is a FactoryJet price. FactoryJet quotes a fixed price in writing after a short scoping call. We can also show working software on your own data before a contract, so you can judge the work before you judge the proposal.

FactoryJet quotes the migration and the ongoing support as separate fixed prices, both in writing. After launch we keep managing the integrations, APIs and maintenance so your team does not have to. We design, build, implement and support the store, and you own what we build for you.

We are a registered Shopify Partner. We work remotely with US clients and schedule calls in US business hours.

To see the work behind these numbers, read about our Shopify migration services and our Shopify Plus agency work. For a rough scope of your own, try the replatforming cost calculator. To protect your search traffic during the move, read how to replatform without losing SEO.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Shopify Plus migration cost?
It depends on the platform you are leaving. On the Elogic Commerce cost index, updated 3 September 2026, a move to Shopify Plus runs $15,000 to $40,000 from a mid-market WooCommerce store, $30,000 to $60,000 from BigCommerce with B2B, $50,000 to $250,000 from Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce and $200,000 to $500,000 or more from Salesforce Commerce Cloud. The Plus plan is a separate bill. Shopify lists $2,300 a month on a three-year term or $2,500 on a one-year term. These are published market ranges, not FactoryJet prices.
How long does a Magento to Shopify migration take?
Most published timelines land between 12 and 24 weeks for a mid-market store. Elogic gives 12 weeks as fast, 16 to 24 weeks as typical and 24 to 36 weeks as complex. ECommerce Partners gives 12 to 20 weeks for a standard store under 10,000 SKUs and 30 to 36 weeks at enterprise scale. ShopExperts puts Adobe Commerce to Shopify Plus at 12 to 24 weeks. Shopify says its Plus migrations average three to four months from kickoff to go-live.
How much does it cost to migrate to Shopify?
For any Shopify plan, Soda Web Media puts a small store with fewer than 1,000 SKUs at $5,000 to $15,000, a mid-market store at $15,000 to $75,000 and an enterprise Shopify Plus replatform at $80,000 to $200,000 or more (page updated 30 April 2026). A migration tool that moves data only costs $50 to $500 or more, a band that LitExtension, Soda Web Media and Solo Media Group all print. The tool does not rebuild your design, your integrations or your redirects.
How can I migrate my Magento store to Shopify?
Shopify lists five routes in its Help Center, from copying content by hand to hiring a Shopify Partner or building a custom migration with the Shopify API. For Magento that leaves a paid migration tool, a partner or custom API work, because the free Shopify Store Migration app does not list Magento among its sources. Shopify says to import products first, then customers, then past orders. Our Magento to Shopify Plus migration page walks through the steps, the platform limits and the redirect work.
Is Shopify Plus worth it?
Shopify says Plus is worth it when lower fees, added profit and operating savings exceed the extra platform cost. It says there is no revenue threshold, and that brands typically upgrade at about $80,000 a month in online sales. The signs it lists include needing more than 15 staff accounts, more than three B2B catalogs, or checkout changes the Advanced plan does not allow. ShopExperts gives the same advice from the other side and says to upgrade for a feature you can name.
What's the difference between Shopify and Shopify Plus?
Price and limits. Shopify says its Advanced plan costs $299 a month billed yearly and Plus starts at $2,300 a month on a three-year term. Plus adds nine expansion stores, unlimited staff accounts, unlimited B2B catalogs, checkout customization and custom apps built on Shopify Functions. Its online card rate starts at 2.25 percent plus 30 cents, against 2.5 percent plus 30 cents on Advanced. Plus stores can also hold 20 million URL redirects, where other plans stop at 100,000.
What is Shopify migration?
It is moving an online store from another platform onto Shopify. Shopify separates two jobs that share the name. A data migration moves products, customers, orders and content, and takes weeks. A full replatform adds a new storefront, rebuilt integrations and often a redesign, and usually takes three to six months. A third job, upgrading from a standard Shopify plan to Plus, moves no data at all. Ask which of the three a quote covers before you compare prices.
Is there a Shopify migration app available?
Yes. Shopify publishes a free app called Store Migration that imports product and customer data from WooCommerce, Square, Etsy, Wix, Amazon, eBay, Clover and Lightspeed. Its listing does not name Magento, BigCommerce or Salesforce Commerce Cloud. Paid third-party tools cover those, and three guides we read put them at $50 to $500 or more. Each of these tools moves data only. Theme, integrations, custom features and redirects are separate work.
How much does a website migration cost?
For an online store moving to Shopify Plus, published 2026 ranges run from $5,000 for a small catalog on a bought theme to $600,000 or more for an enterprise rebuild, across the 12 guides we read on 11 October 2026. For a move to any Shopify plan, Presta puts a freelancer or small agency at $2,000 to $7,500 and a specialist agency at $10,000 to $50,000. The price follows the number of systems to reconnect and the state of the data more than the size of the catalog.
How much does Shopify take from a $100 sale?
On Shopify Plus, the standard online card rate for a US business starts at 2.25 percent plus 30 cents, according to a Shopify article updated 23 September 2026. On a $100 order that is $2.55. On the Advanced plan the rate is 2.5 percent plus 30 cents, or $2.80. If you use another payment provider, Shopify charges 0.2 percent on Plus and 0.6 percent on Advanced on top of that provider's own fee. Plus rates are set in your quote, so treat these as starting points.
Is Magento end of life?
Not as a whole. Each version ages out on a schedule. Adobe gives every Adobe Commerce release three years of standard support. On its lifecycle page, updated 18 September 2026, standard support for version 2.4.6 ended on 11 August 2026 and for 2.4.7 it ends on 31 May 2027. Adobe also says that from 1 June 2027 it will stop maintaining cloud environments that run unsupported versions. A migration planned around those dates has a fixed deadline.
How much does Shopify Plus cost per month?
Shopify lists $2,300 a month on a three-year term and $2,500 a month on a one-year term for US dollar billing. That is $27,600 or $30,000 a year. Shopify says larger or more complex businesses may pay a variable platform fee based on revenue and business model instead, with different rates for B2B and direct-to-consumer sales, and it prints no rate. A migration project is a separate one-time cost on top of the plan.
How much does a Magento to Shopify Plus migration cost?
Elogic puts a simple Magento store under 1,000 SKUs at $25,000 to $50,000, a mid-market Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce store at $50,000 to $120,000, complex B2B with an ERP at $120,000 to $250,000 and a full custom headless rebuild at $250,000 to $600,000 or more. ShopExperts prints $30,000 to $60,000 for mid-complexity Magento and $60,000 to $150,000 or more for Adobe Commerce with full B2B. Our Magento to Shopify Plus migration page compares more published guides.
How much does a Salesforce Commerce Cloud to Shopify Plus migration cost?
It sits at or near the top of every table that prices the four moves by platform. Elogic puts an enterprise move at $200,000 to $500,000 or more over 20 to 28 weeks. Flux gives $180,000 to $500,000 for brands with $5 million to $100 million in sales, and ShopExperts gives $80,000 to $200,000 or more. Tripster Developers says the storefront is usually the easy part and the integrations built inside the old platform are the work.
How much does a BigCommerce to Shopify Plus migration cost?
Elogic puts a mid-market BigCommerce store with B2B and an ERP at $30,000 to $60,000 over 12 to 18 weeks. ShopExperts prints $20,000 to $60,000 for BigCommerce Enterprise to Plus, and calls BigCommerce the cleanest platform to move from because its data is structured and its URLs are simpler than Magento. Flux, which writes for brands with $5 million to $100 million in sales, gives $80,000 to $200,000.
How much does a WooCommerce to Shopify Plus migration cost?
Elogic puts a mid-market WooCommerce store, with $1 million to $10 million in yearly revenue, at $15,000 to $40,000 over 6 to 12 weeks. Soda Web Media gives $5,000 to $30,000 for WooCommerce to any Shopify plan. Flux gives $80,000 to $200,000 for larger brands. At the low end, a year of the Plus plan ($27,600) costs more than the project ($15,000), so confirm you need a Plus feature before you price the move.
How much does it cost to upgrade from Shopify to Shopify Plus?
An upgrade moves no data, so it costs far less than a migration. ShopExperts puts most upgrades at $5,000 to $25,000 over 4 to 8 weeks, and Ecomzier at $5,000 to $15,000. Tripster Developers says the plan switch takes days and the build-out 2 to 6 weeks. Shopify notes that upgrading gives access to Plus features and does not set them up. The work is in checkout extensions, B2B catalogs, expansion stores and automation.
How long does a Shopify Plus migration take?
Shopify says Plus migrations average three to four months from kickoff to go-live, and that a full replatform usually takes three to six months. By platform, Elogic gives typical times of 12 to 16 weeks from WooCommerce, 12 to 20 weeks from BigCommerce, 16 to 24 weeks from Magento, 5 to 8 months from Adobe Commerce and 20 to 24 weeks from Salesforce Commerce Cloud. ShopExperts adds two to six weeks before kickoff for choosing a partner and signing.
How long does a Shopify migration take?
ShopExperts says most Shopify migrations take 6 to 12 weeks, with small clean catalogs at 4 to 6 weeks. Shopify says smaller stores can finish in 8 to 12 weeks and complex ones can take six months or more. Soda Web Media gives 2 to 4 weeks for small stores, 8 to 16 weeks for mid-market stores and 4 to 6 months for enterprise stores. ShopExperts adds that a promise of two weeks describes a data import, which is one part of a migration.
What makes a Shopify Plus migration more expensive?
Five things, on the pages we read: the number of systems to reconnect, custom features that must be rebuilt, B2B pricing and accounts, the shape of the catalog, and the state of the data. Flux and Tripster Developers both say the number of integrations moves the price more than catalog size. Presta and Flux each put one ERP connection at $20,000 to $80,000 to build. Shopify says discovery and data cleanup are the biggest risk to the timeline.
How much does B2B add to a Shopify Plus migration?
ShopExperts says B2B catalog setup adds three to six weeks to a standard migration, covering company accounts, location pricing and payment terms. On the Elogic index, an Adobe Commerce store rises from $50,000 to $120,000 at mid-market level to $120,000 to $250,000 with complex B2B and an ERP. On the platform side, Shopify limits plans below Plus to three active B2B catalogs and keeps direct company catalogs, deposits and partial payments for Plus.
Why do Shopify Plus migration quotes differ so much?
Because one name covers different jobs. Across the 12 guides we read, the lowest starting figure was $5,000 and the highest top figure was $600,000 or more. Presta says two quotes for the same store can differ by a factor of four, and that the gap is nearly always what is included. Flux says a quote written without a discovery audit is typically 30 to 50 percent off. Compare the scope line by line before you compare the totals.
What is the Shopify Plus variable platform fee?
It is a revenue-based fee that replaces the flat plan price for larger or more complex businesses. Shopify says it depends on revenue and business model and differs for B2B and direct-to-consumer sales, and it prints no rate. Guides do print rates, and they disagree. ShopExperts gives 0.4 percent of revenue, and Flux gives 0.35 percent on direct-to-consumer sales and 0.18 percent on B2B. We found neither on a Shopify page on 11 October 2026. Ask Shopify for your rate in writing.
Should a Shopify Plus migration be fixed price or time and materials?
Shopify describes three models. A fixed bid is one price for a defined scope and suits clear requirements. Time and materials bills the hours worked and needs close watching. A phased contract prices each stage separately, with sign-off at each one, and Shopify says that is usually the best choice for enterprise projects. ShopExperts makes the same call for any Plus migration above $50,000. Whichever you choose, get the excluded items listed in writing.
What does a migration quote usually leave out?
Presta lists what each size of quote tends to exclude unless it is named: order history, blog content and custom fields on small projects, and custom app development and ERP connections on mid-market ones. Flux says most published quotes cover the build only and leave out the discovery audit, platform fees, the weeks after launch and your own team's time. LitExtension adds data cleanup. Ask for each of those as a named line, even if the line says not included.
Will I lose my Google rankings when I migrate to Shopify Plus?
A small dip is normal and a lasting drop is avoidable. Shopify says a fall of 5 to 10 percent in the first week is common even with perfect redirects, and that a sustained drop over 20 percent needs immediate investigation. The protection is a redirect map that sends every old address to its new one. Plus stores can hold up to 20 million redirects. Our guide to replatforming without losing SEO covers the full plan.
Can customer passwords and order history move to Shopify Plus?
Order history can, and passwords cannot. Shopify says past orders are typically migrated as read-only records, so your team can look them up but cannot edit or refund them in Shopify. Customer passwords need a reset, and Shopify provides account invite and reset flows for that. Theme files do not transfer either, and custom app logic has to be rebuilt with Shopify apps, custom apps or Shopify Functions.
Who looks after the store after a migration?
That depends on what you sign. Shopify suggests a defined support period after launch, typically two to four weeks, for data corrections and monitoring. FactoryJet quotes the migration and the ongoing support as separate fixed prices in writing after a short scoping call. After launch we keep managing the integrations, APIs and maintenance so your team does not have to. You own what we build for you.
How much does FactoryJet charge for a Shopify Plus migration?
We do not publish a price list, and nothing on this page is a FactoryJet price. FactoryJet quotes a fixed price in writing after a short scoping call, and we can show working software on your own data before you sign a contract. We are a registered Shopify Partner. We design, build, implement and support the store, and you own what we build. We work remotely with US clients and schedule calls in US business hours.
Can I see working software before I sign a migration contract?
With FactoryJet, yes. We can show working software on your own data before a contract. Ask every firm on your list the same question. Shopify says a migration service should run at least two migrations, one on a staging store and one in production, and Plus includes unlimited staging stores. Seeing your own products and prices in a working store tells you more than a proposal does.
